NUSD Volunteer Program
Seniors in Schools is a ten-year-old award-winning program involving senior citizens who volunteer in Newark schools. They can be found tutoring children, sharing special interests, listening to children read, helping out in the school office or library, or helping a teacher. The time is arranged to suit the convenience of the volunteer. If you are a senior, or know a senior who is interested in volunteering, contact Mona Walker, 510.797.2703, for more information.
